Conducts major complex investigations involving health care providers participating in the Virginia Medicaid Program. Reviews voluminous records, participates and/or assists in search warrants, drafts overpayment schedules, participates and/or assists in undercover operations. Some overnight travel required. This position will work out of the Roanoke, Virginia Office.
Applicants must have a related undergraduate degree or commensurate experience. Major course work in the criminal justice or medical administration field, or prior law enforcement experience, is preferred. Course work or experience in financial auditing, in the investigation of financial or white collar crime, or experience in health care-related fields will also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should have demonstrated computer proficiency with word processing and database management systems (Microsoft products preferred)
