The Investigator is responsible for the supervision of all internal investigations within the facility. Conduct internal investigations of all felonies committed by inmates and/or staff. Supervise and/or conduct the collection of all samples for urinalysis testing for both staff and inmates. Perform fingerprinting and background investigation checks on all new staff. This position reports directly to the Warden.

        Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science or a closely related field and two years experience in the field of criminal justice is preferred. A graduate degree or additional graduate classes may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years. A valid driver's license is required. Must be certified in the discipline of Corrections through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and in good standing; or must meet the FDLE eligibility guidelines and become a Certified Correctional Officer in accordance with the process defined by subsection 1 1B-27.002 F.A.C.
