The Virginia State Bar, the state agency which regulates the practice of law in Virginia, has an immediate opening for a Northern Virginia area field investigator to investigate complaints of attorney misconduct and the unauthorized practice of law. The primary territory is Northern Virginia as far south as Stafford/Fredericksburg, but assignments in other areas of the state will be made as necessary. Excellent state benefits; starting salary from the mid $50's to the low $60's based on experience.

Minimum Qualifications
College degree required. Word processing and spreadsheet proficiency as well as excellent narrative report writing skills required. Must be able to travel throughout state, to include occasional overnight trips; must have satisfactory driving record. The successful applicant will be mature and discreet, have sound judgment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Must be able to work effectively from home.

Preferred Qualifications
Significant experience in the legal field and/or governmental professional investigative experience, including financial investigations, strongly preferred.
