Investment Banking Analysts work in client-focused teams within the corporate finance and M&A advisory departments to help our Technology clients achieve their financial and strategic objectives. Analysts will be banking generalists and often involved with multiple simultaneous projects across teams. Analysts are responsible for researching, analyzing and creating presentations related to transaction development and execution. The work is challenging and Analysts are given substantial responsibility and encouraged to roll up their sleeves, thoroughly analyze financial statements and corporate materials, and think “outside the box.”

  • Extensive corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions transaction experience
  • Work with high-growth, disruptive tech companies in a variety of transactions with direct client interaction
  • Learn from and work with teams of diverse professionals, including senior bankers and experts in other areas within the firm

  • Analyzing detailed corporate and financial information and preparing financial models, valuation analysis and analytic support
  • Performing company, industry, market and competitor research and due diligence relating to both deal generation and execution
  • Developing pitch materials, marketing memoranda, investor presentations and other deal related materials
  • Working directly with client senior management teams throughout all phases of transactions
  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree with expected graduation date between December 2012 and August 2013
  • Superior academic performance, 3.3 GPA minimum
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to learn quickly
  • High interest in financial markets, technology industry sectors and trends
  • Desire to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and function as part of a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Extracurricular activities and work experience preferred
  • Pass federal and state securities exams (S79 & S63)
  • U.S. work authorization required
  • Work from the San Francisco office
