Processes equity trade authorization requests for Capital Research and Management Company (CRMC) investment professionals after verifying compliance with rules and guidelines. Assists with the coordination of CRMC’s Multiple Portfolio Counselor System (MPCS), including maintaining the CRMC Action List for equity securities. Acts as a liaison between investment professionals and traders/other business groups with regard to the Fund portfolios and investment transactions. Creates ad hoc reports for various CRMC investment professionals and committees. Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
  • Processes equity trade authorization requests from investment professionals and resolves issues.
  • Answers inquiries from equity investment professionals, Trading and other business areas with regard to Fund portfolio and transactions.
  • Liaises with more senior staff to lead the process with other internal departments (e.g., Trading, Legal and Compliance, Fund Accounting) to verify that complex transactions (e.g., IPOs, private placements, corporate actions) are processed timely and accurately.
  • Assists in monitoring Fund cash flows for Principal Investment Officer and performs cash allocations and/or callbacks as necessary, including during portfolio counselor responsibility changes.

  • Ability to identify, assess, respond to and escalate risks or potential risks encountered through day to day activities.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative by identifying issues for managers/others.
  • Collaborate and develop/maintain relationships within Capital.
  • Strong technical skills (experienced in Excel) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Investment operations experience preferred.
