PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Solutions Analyst performs with direction from more senior level associates for a variety of roles in the creation and maintenance of low to medium solutions (including analyzing data, assisting with the design of data infrastructure, and reporting) that address the informational and analytical needs of the Investment Management, Investment Research, and/or Global Trading divisions. The Solutions Analyst acts as a consultant and partner with the Investment Business Community and Global Business Solutions and Technology (GBS&T) project teams to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented, and executed upon. This position documents needs/issues, provides recommendations, and will see the issue to resolution. The associate will be a critical part of the workflows that generate portfolio/security analytics, attribution, and risk reports. It requires advanced level analytic skills for resolving complex issues.
To work closely with the investment staff, middle-office, and client service organizations to expose analytical or workflow-optimizing needs. Under the general direction of management or senior staff members, interacts with business partners of varying levels within the organization to ensure clarity of the problem/need and identify the business requirements. Estimates the size of the effort required to complete low to medium scale projects.
Does production support of systems of security analytic platforms, including taking responsibility for the resolution of issues and questions, monitoring the quality, and communicating with the vendors. Will documents resolution appropriately.
Will be able to escalate items to Sr. Solutions Analyst/ Solutions Consultants/ Sr. Solutions Consultants, Project Leads, and/or Program Managers if a solution cannot be determined.
To provide daily data support. Research and assess impact of data errors; determine appropriate resolutions; promptly communicate resolutions to affected business groups.
Under the guidance management or senior staff members, designs, prototypes, implements, and maintains products that address business needs and achieve strategic goals. This may include analyzing, researching, processing and administering investment data; analyzing, developing and deploying reports; and analyzing and testing software applications.
Executes and manages all aspects and phases of testing initiatives for low to medium-sized project implementations and/or enhancement projects. Responsibility may include test data setup and coordination of effort and resources/testers throughout unit, system, and user acceptance testing. Participates in the development of user documentation and manuals, training material, and/or job aids. Supports initial implementation of significant system changes
Continuously seeks to expand knowledge of Investments practice and theory to create efficiencies and/or mitigate risk via people/process/technology changes for the business.
College degree and 1 year of related work experience, or Associate degree and 3 years related work experience, or
Demonstrated ability to develop multiple solutions to moderately complex problems and recommend the best solution to the business and project team
Ability to apply acquired knowledge from prior experience effectively in new situations (low to medium complexity)
Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
Must be able to meet with clients in order to gather, document, and analyze system specifications and requirements, work closely with developers and testers in the fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment

Prior relevant industry experience
Some SQL Knowledge
Familiarity with business processes related to business channel supported
Familiarity with Fixed Income portfolio and bond analytics/attributes,
Prior knowledge of Fixed Income attribution and risk reporting is helpful
Some knowledge of Barclays POINT and/or Citigroup's YieldBook
Bachelor's Degree - Business, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or technology preferred plus one year of relevant work experience
