I.
Support the Head
of the Investor Group in business development activities in support of capital
raising activities. These tasks include:
a.
Client Research:
i.
Research new business
opportunities by staying current on industry publications and newspapers,
client web sites, conference materials, consultant and other databases, etc.
Convey relevant findings to the Investor
Group.
ii.
Assist the Head of the Investor Group with
analysis of the
client/prospect universe to identify specific product opportunities (including
analysis of the client’s asset allocation and their current line-up of
managers).
b.
Relationship Development:
i.
Assist in building
relationships by arranging client/prospect meetings and/or conference calls.
Ensure proper materials are assembled and distributed in advance of client
meetings. Send out follow-up product information, relevant research papers, and
other correspondence following client meetings or calls. Prepare meeting call
notes under the direction of the Head of the
Investor Group.
ii.
Assist in responding to client/prospect inquiries and/or requests for
additional information.
iii.
Based on interactions
with clients and prospects, generate ideas and provide input to improve our
materials and other services that will enhance the client/prospect experience .
iv.
Create and maintain
client/prospect profile information and meeting activity in the CRM (including client contact
information, the client asset allocation and plan characteristics,
opportunities and mandates, meeting calendar, call notes, sales activity,
etc.). Use this data to create reports
for investment team and IR team for use ahead of meetings.
c.
Cl ient Service:
i.
Lead in responding to client inquiries and/or other service
requirements (request for portfolio informatio n , client organizational changes, meetings requests, etc.)
ii.
Prepare monthly and/or
quarterly client , consul tant, prospect questionnaires
and reports.
d.
Projects:
i.
Work on special projects
that build out the service model and infrastructure needed to create scale and
efficiencies within the sales and marketing and client service functions (e.g. website).
ii.
Submit weekly calendar
and meeting notes, pipeline and monthly activity reports, and reports for
management.
II.
Act as primary
contact for the Administrator’s IR group on coordination of Subscriptions,
Redemptions, Transfers, upkeep of the Share Register, Side pocket
distributions, creation of new Share Classes, KYC/AML, etc.
III.
Maintenance of the marketing collateral which
includes the distribution (and the editing and updating) of newsletters,
performance estimates, internal due diligence questionnaires, risk reports,
marketing presentations and any special correspondence relating to the Funds. Preparing consultant questionnaires, responding to RFPs, populating databases, requests for pr oposals and other info requests.
IV.
Coordinate the maintenance, dissemination of
private placement offering documents as well as other key Fund, Company,
operational due diligence documentation.
V.
Work
with Compliance associate on gathering data for the various investor-related
regulatory filings (e.g. Form PF, Canadian investors, etc.).
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
I.
Coordinator of group projects across multiple
functions of the firm (e.g. Incident Management Plan): including assignment of
work to various employees, gathering data, and imputing details into text file.
