JOB DESCRIPTION: The JWICS Network Administrator will work within the AFGSC headquarters supporting all aspects of systems operations for a JWICS Windows Microsoft based server environment to include the following: review and document JWICS network audit logs; build, configure and install new computer and/or communications systems in accordance with Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), AF and local policies; perform security scans of JWICS network; perform corrective actions of discovered security vulnerabilities; perform application of approved security patches; and test systems for proper operation after application of security patches/vulnerability remediation. They will perform system administration duties which include: submitting proposed network and system update recommendations to management for review/approval; assist systems administration functions including account management, user support, system upgrades, system restorations, system backups, status monitoring and reporting.
Work is reviewed by management to measure meeting objectives and schedules. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of client's data requires an evaluation of various factors. Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Ensures project schedules and performance requirements are met.

Supports all aspects of network operations for a JWICS Cisco based networking environment to include the following: build, configure, install, maintain, remove, replace, upgrade, and troubleshoot new and existing networking hardware to support the existing as well as the expanding AFGSC JWICS network architecture, and disposition of system/network assets at end of lifecycle. Subcontractor will review network equipment audit logs, network efficiency, network bottle-necks, perform system reconfigurations as directed by supervisors, AFSCO, and/or DIA and institute remedial actions as required to maintain equipment at peak operational performance.

Provides expertise in supporting Cisco Operating Systems, encryption equipment, modems, single and multimode fiber optic circuits, Cisco Secure Voice over IP, Secure Desktop and Suite VTCs, local area networks, wide-area networks, and metropolitan area networks.

Provides administration and maintenance assistance/support for Windows Server 2003/2008 environments as well as administration and maintenance support of Windows XP and Windows 7.
