Keeps working areas in YESCO facilities and departments in clean and orderly condition by personally performing the following duties.


Arranges boxes, material, and hand trucks or other industrial equipment in neat and orderly manner

Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from machines, overhead pipes, and conveyors

Cleans screens and filters

Picks up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers

Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas to include flooring

Dusts furniture and equipment; polishes metal

Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills

Empties wastebaskets, empties and cleans ashtrays; transports trash and waste to disposal area

Replaces light bulbs

Picks up refuse from plant grounds and maintains area by cutting grass or shoveling snow


Monitors parts and materials inventory

Locates jobs in YESCO yard

Coordinates waste and recyclables removal with 3rd party vendor

Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned


Interacts daily with employees and supervisors at the YESCO facilities to discuss facility projects

Interacts daily with vendors to coordinate trash, waste, and recyclables removal

High school diploma or GED; and up to one month of facilities maintenance or related experience or training; or any combination of education and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos

Ability to write simple correspondence

Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to move materials, equipment, and completed projects

Ability to communicate in person

Work is typically performed indoors. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand; walk; bend; sit; climb ladders; clear snow, mow lawns, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; balance. Must be able to occasionally move objects in excess of 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities include: ability to adjust eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
