The successful candidates must be passionate about software development and be a hands-on developer who can lead by example. Candidates must possess the skills and have the working experience to deliver mission critical healthcare applications.
Collaborate on and execute development of architectural patterns and practices.
Participate in the complete software development life cycle, from requirements gathering through production support.
Review designs/code as needed.
Coach and mentor other team members (regardless of role – developer, tester, or product manager) on appropriate use of technology to address customer and business needs.
Develop and evolve practices for development (e.g., unit test strategies, build and deployment)
As needed, evaluate new technologies and develop Proof of Concepts.
Other duties as required to support and meet the needs of the corporation.
Required Education & Training
Minimum of 5years of commercial product development experience using core Java.
Solid background in OO design and programming.
Knowledge of modern software engineering practices.
Self-Motivated, excellent logic skills, ability to prioritize, and be well organized.
Good interpersonal, communications skills and ability to work independently.
Strong analytical skills and proficient technical writing.
Swing, JSF, JSP, Servlets, Spring, Web Services, SOAP, JUnit, JQUERY, JSON, Apache Tomcat.
Experience in the AS/400 computing environment.
Programming experience in healthcare.
