  • Work closely with 1199SEIU participating employers and the Job Security Fund to identify nursing positions and lead recruitment efforts to match qualified candidates
  • Create talent acquisition strategies to identify highly qualified candidates for long term care facilities, health networks and community health programs
  • Establish relationships with employers, nurse recruiters and union representatives; collaborate with nurse recruiters and nurse managers to develop innovative solutions to solve the education and practical knowledge gap for Registered Nurse’s
  • Manage marketing and communications for talent pool services
  • Guide and counsel healthcare professionals through the post graduate and hiring process
  • Consult with hiring managers to understand and determine position requirements. Source and refer qualified graduates, coordinate and schedule interviews. Attend job fairs to stay current on industry trends
  • Maintain applicant database and data for job openings and talent pool
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Nursing, Healthcare or equivalent years of experience required; plus
  • Minimum two (2) years experience with organized labor, human resource recruitment or other related field in a healthcare environment required
  • Basic skill level of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred; knowledge of Outlook, Access and Internet
  • Knowledge of human resources and nurse recruitment operations in a hospital and/or nursing home setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare industry; experience in a union or labor management environment a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain relationships with employers, union representatives, healthcare professionals and staff
  • Ability to work independently and multitask under deadline pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding client service skills; ability to effectively communicate with hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Must be available to work at least 2-3 days per week
  • Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality
