Job Requisition Coordinator located at Austin State Supported Living Center.

Provides administrative support to hiring managers in DADS in the recruitment, selection and hiring process. Work involves coordination and assistance to hiring managers in the recruitment, screening, and referral of qualified applicants, to include contacting the accessHR service center and entering job requisition information in the on-line system. Assists walk-in, email and phone applicants. Assists in the development of screening questions, screening criteria, interview questions, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. Coordinates and reviews the due diligence including background checks, pre-employment testing, etc. Provides assistance to hiring manager with completion and entry of new hire information by reviewing I-9 documentation, entering new employee data in on-line system, coordinating/leading aspects of the local orientation activities. Compiles and maintains data for various reports and produces reports from accessHR and other systems. Composes and produces correspondence and other documents. Performs other duties as needed and assigned to support the job requisition process at the facility. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Provides administrative support to hiring managers in HHS agencies in the recruitment, selection and hiring process. Assists hiring manager with job requisition posting by contacting the accessHR service center, entering job requisition information in the on-line system. Assist managers with the development of screening questions, screening criteria, or interview questions. May assist hiring manager with application screening, scheduling interviews, or conducting reference checks. Provide assistance to hiring manager with completion of new hire information to include reviewing I-9 documentation, entering new employee data in on-line system, and coordinating/leading aspects of the local new hire orientation activities. Performs related work as assigned.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Knowledge of accessHR HRMS People Soft systems. Skilled in customer service orientation, PC usage; keyboard, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word. Ability to value, promote, and manage diversity. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Explain policies and procedures to staff and the public. Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Model ethical behavior. Practice and promote integrity. Understand business process. Prioritize, schedule and pay attention to important details. Assemble information, materials into logical order. Ability to assist applicants with on-line application and related application processes.

None

Initial Selection Criteria:
1. Prefer experience working with a health & human service agency or state supported living center.
2. Experience in administrative management.
3. Experience coordinating work between organizational units.
4. Experience using a personal computer for inquiry and data entry.

Additional Information:
All applicants must pass: pre-employment drug screen, fingerprint criminal background check, and Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System (CANRS), Employee Misconduct Registry and Nurse/Aide Registry checks. Males between the ages of 18 – 25 must be registered with the Selective Service.

All State Supported Living Center employees are subject to random drug testing.

Flexibility in work hours may be required for this position. The position may be required to work overtime and/or extended hours.
