This position contributes to the mission of the Center and helps to advance the image of William & Mary Law School by maintaining publishing standards, preparing manuscripts for print, and assuring a good flow of communication with authors, editors, board members, and the general public. With guidance from the Centerâ??s Coordinator, the incumbent provides administrative and technical support, including electronic editing, proofreading, and formatting manuscripts; managing correspondence; and maintaining the subscriber and copyright databases.

Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent. Background in technical typing, editing, formatting, and proofreading manuscripts, and correcting spelling and grammar errors while editing manuscripts required. Familiarity with basic editing symbols. Advanced skills in word processing to include editing features common to journal publishing, using desktop publication applications, graphics software and presentations with the use of computer hardware. Possess superior written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to edit and format manuscripts using tools available; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; aptitude to create databases and tracking systems to manage workflow; and willingness to learn new skills as technology and Law Reviewâ??s needs advance.

Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Office 2010, WordPerfect X5, Adobe Pro 9, and MS Windows XP and Windows 7 interface highly preferred.
