iBasis is one of the largest carriers of international voice traffic in the world and a global leader in VoIP. Your contribution as Country Manager is crucial in enhancing our market position.

iBasis is seeking a motivated, analytical and commercially orientated sales person to serve as Account/Country Manager within the Central America Team. The Account/Country manager will be responsible for a subset of accounts in Central America and managing margins and revenues, You will have ambitious targets to close new contracts and enhance the position of iBasis as preferred supplier in your region and are able to perform and report along these targets. He or she will contribute actively to the business using proven sales and purchase skills to support and guide the commercial activities. The account/country manager will be working in the Latam team and reports directly to the Regional Manager for Centroamerica, Caribbean and Mexico.

The function consists of the following roles:
  • Business Development
    • Developing new sales accounts
    • Developing new routes for termination
  • Sales Account Management
    • Managing sales margin on a customer level by actively looking for new/extra margin and revenue, either through selling hubbing minutes or by creating bilateral deals
  • Country Management
    • Managing termination margin and revenue on a country level through actively analyzing new opportunities and negotiating better costs with current vendors
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

Our ideal candidate is qualified sales or financial person with a proven track record within international wholesale sales & purchase environment or a entrepreneurial person working in corporate environment. An energetic team player, the individual needs to be self-motivated and is able to work independently. Experienced working in an international organization, the role will have some requirements for travel to the region ( Centro America countries) , and occasionally to The Hague-NL and to Boston-USA. Preferencial living and working in Miami. Preferential knowledge of the wholesale voice market in CIS countries but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills, follow-up skills & persistence .Needs to speak, write and read fluently in english and spanish language.
