Jr. Release and Deployment Management Analyst

Provide IT Support Services including Engineering and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) that will assist in managing emerging requirements, enhance and develop IT capabilities in support of Military Sealift Command's (MSC) mission. Assist in the development of governance to ensure IT capabilities align to the strategic plan, the technical architecture road map and DOD mandates.
Assists in the plan, schedule, and control of the releases to test and live environments, ensuring the integrity of the live environment and that the correct components are released.
Other supporting activities may include
o Planning and preparation for the build, test and deployment
o Building and testing the new or changes service
o Developing the plan and schedule for deployment
o Performing the transfer of the release to the deployment team
o Verifying the deployment and provide early life support
o Conducting a post release review and close the release
Formulates/defines system scope and objectives.
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.
Prepares detailed specifications for programs.
Assist in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements. Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Provides overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
Assists all phases of software systems programming applications. Evaluates new and existing software products. Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.

BS in computer related field or equivalent experience
