Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
This is an entry-level position and no minimum experience requirement exists.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills for an entry to junior level analyst position in our NASA Operations organization. The position requires an organized, detail-oriented individual fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. Strong spreadsheet, database, and statistical analysis skills are a plus. Candidates must have the ability to contribute effectively to working groups through oral and written communication and cooperative working relationships. The ideal candidate will be flexible to support a variety of tasks, eager to learn new skills and concepts as well as contribute to research studies.
The ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance is required.
You may have the opportunity to train in Cost Estimating, Scheduling, Risk Analysis, Data Analytics and Earned Value Analysis. Task assignments will contribute to a variety of cost and schedule analyses in support of NASA programs. These may include such activities as developing and analyzing complex schedules, analyzing and projecting performance from earned value reporting and generating cost estimates for complex satellites and ground space systems. You may also assist in conducting data collection activities, the analysis of data to identify trends and outliers, supporting risk analysis activities, and the development of detailed spending plans, cost tracking and reporting systems.
