At Landor we are visual and verbal thinkers who are about two things: smarts and creativity. Over 70 years ago, Walter Landor said, “Branding requires an equal amount of guts, surprise and delight.”
What does it mean to work at Landor?
At Landor, we embrace the world with fresh ideas and creative thinking. We are a place where people can learn, grow, and surround themselves with the best talent and creativity out there. We are constantly striving to create something completely new and uncomfortable and breaking industry standards to create great work.
Are you a conceptual thinker? A storyteller? An all around awesome designer?
You’re a problem solver, a collaborator. You’re continuously curious and dedicated to your craft. You bring creativity to everything you do. How does that translate into a career, you ask?
If you are a passionate graphic designer, filmmaker, conceptual digital designer, environmental designer, or motion graphic enthusiast, we want you to join our team. What challenges you? What inspires you? What are you passionate about? It’s our talented team members help shape who we are as a company.
All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Candidates should have advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Additional skills in Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Lightroom, and Final Cut Pro are a bonus. All candidates must have graduated with a BFA or related degree to be considered for the program.
Landor New York’s Junior Designer Program is a way for young designers to gain hands-on industry experience. It is an opportunity to expand your learning process by participating in projects from start to finish, and by interacting with all of our groups: design, strategy, naming, and implementation. We create brands through customer experiences, design systems, products, packages, services, environments, and digital touchpoints. And yes, we do the logo too.
New York City is one of the greatest places to be as a designer. The city is bustling with inspiration—countless things to see, places to explore, and people to meet. Our New York office is in the Union Square neighborhood, historically a meeting place for a diverse convergence of people, ideas, creativity—and even the start of a revolution or two. This revolutionary spirit is a hallmark of our workplace, where we strive to find breakthrough creative ideas that set our clients apart.
The Junior Designer role is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 9:30am-6:00pm for 40 hours a week.
To apply, please submit a resume, cover letter, and either a pdf portfolio or link to your website. Be sure to provide at least 5 samples of your very best work. Selected candidates will be contacted for further portfolio review.
