OUR COMPANY: Founded in 2008, Terrain ( www.shopterrain.com ) transforms the local garden center into a celebration of nature. Our flagship location in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania was inspired by the idea of merging house and garden to create an experience for the senses, catering to our customer with a curated assortment of plants for all seasons, as well as inspired items for the home and garden. Situated in a luxurious indoor-outdoor environment, our on-site nursery is flanked by a cafe and garden terrace, providing the ideal environment to host events and workshops.

OVERVIEW: We are looking for a highly motivated, detailed and inspired person to join Terrain's creative team. In this entry-level position, you will be immersed in all aspects of the terrain brand as you assist with graphics for our two stores and web site. You must have a passion for the terrain brand and examples of work that comply with our aesthetic. With an excellent work ethic, self-motivation, a positive attitude and creative astuteness, there will be opportunities to grow within the brand.

JOB DESCRIPTION: You will work with the art director to assist with graphic needs that arise such as: photo retouching, signage, packaging, hand-lettering, invitations, identity materials, environmental graphics, silkscreen design, illustration and web site graphics. Experience with sourcing materials and understanding the production process is a plus. You will be able to contribute to brainstorming meetings by showing inspiration and presenting creative ideas. You must be self-motivated and take ownership over all aspects of the design process.

Required Skills

  • Well-versed in Photoshop with specific proficiency in color correction, photo enhancing, composing crops, and retouching
  • Highly Proficient in InDesign and Illustrator
  • Experience with the design production process
  • Exhibits a positive attitude
  • A keen sense of detail
  • Must have a flexible outlook and be able to adjust to make tight deadlines
  • Must work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Required Experience

Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or related field
