Junior Sales Associate (Certification & Training) The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) is looking for a Junior Sales Associate (Certification & Training) to join its team. Position Summary The IAPP is currently seeking a talented Junior Sales Associate who will sell into our Public Training events and act in a traditional Lead Generation role to help grow our Certification business. This is an entry-level role, reporting to the Business Development & Sales Operations Director, but a high-profile position for an assertive self-directed individual seeking to begin their sales career. Candidates must be able to hit the ground running and produce immediate results. The primary function of this position is to connect with individuals who respond to a marketing campaign for our Public Training events and assist them in registering. This role will also identify and qualify sales opportunities for the Group Sales Team and pass warm leads to the appropriate Representative. Primary Job Responsibilities Manage a high volume of inbound/outbound calls to warm marketing leads to uncover qualified sales opportunities Identify prospect's business needs and goals to determine solution Through phone calls and emails, respond to organizations who are interested in registering 1-4 people for a Public Training Event Through consultative selling, increase per person sales by suggesting textbooks or practice exams Qualify sales leads for groups of 5+ to hand over to the Group Sales Team Record sales process and transactions in SalesForce and NetForum Required Skills & Experience 1-3 years experience in outbound business-to-business sales experience SalesForce experience preferred Basic computer and typing skills for efficient documentation and research Bachelors Degree Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies Demonstrated ability in consultative selling Excellent telephone sales personality skills Reliable, strong work ethic and able to work independently About the IAPP The IAPP is the world's largest association for professionals in the field of privacy and data protection, and currently represents more than 12,000 members in 78 countries around the world.
