KRONOS PROJECT COORDINATOR- Coterminous, 18 months New Haven, CT Working under the direction of the Executive Director, Integration, Financial Applications, Output Solutions, ITS, is responsible for establishment and dissemination of the techniques, procedures and skills needed to guide the Kronos Advanced Scheduler Implementation Team. Guides the efforts of other project team personnel, provides technical guidance, insures that the team has the right set of tools to perform assigned tasks both efficiently and effectively, and assumes responsibility for achieving desired results. Maintains liaison with ITS Management , Clinical and Support staff Management, the customer, and all project personnel during the full life cycle of system implementation. Oversees the efforts at each Health System Delivery network location to bring the system to fully implemented. RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as appraiser/consultant/instructor for complex technical solutions and methodologies Guides a team of subject matter experts, analysts and/or programmers in the implementation of automated and manual systems and solves or marshals the resources to solve complex technical problems on a timely basis. Assigns work and monitors the progress of team members, oversees the development of individual work plans. Provides guidance in analytical tasks and collaborates on the development of interfaces, and build of the Application. Conducts/participates in needs analysis study, including evaluation of current environment (user and computer) using formal techniques, participates in the needs definition with the user, and conducts feasibility studies and cost benefit analysis. Provides ongoing progress reports to management and oversight committees. Develops project plans by defining phase content, estimating time and resource requirements. Monitors progress against plan and provides management reports as required. Raises issues to the appropriate forum to get resolution and takes corrective action as needed to deliver timely products. Identifies requirements and documents general and specific design specifications. Participates with the user in the design of production and conversion plans to ensure a smooth transition from the current to new environment. Develops system and program level interface designs. Designs and builds test data and protocols. Develops implementation plans and executes planned processes. Specifies and arranges test data and coordinates test processing for system and interfaces being implemented. Trouble shoots programs and systems by isolating and correcting testing errors. Establishes and evaluates application efficiency by assisting in the analysis of performance and determining the accuracy of results. Participates in the development of formal statements of expected performance of system being implemented including the sequence of major significant processes, actions and functional segments. Oversees or develops user training and procedure manuals. Reviews documentation submitted by team members before implementation. Coordinates efforts with the Vendor implementation team and integrates activities with the project team. Performs job-related duties in conformance with ITS standards; may initiate standard. Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a manner as to support the Health System 's customer relations program and promotes positive and constructive working relationships within the department. Performs other job related duties as required. REQUIREMENTS Position requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training in Project Management and Systems implementation . Courses in systems analysis and design, data gathering, oral and written communication, and automated staff scheduling systems. Eight (8) or more years experience in a variety of Project Management, Systems implementation and analytical activities, At least four (4) years experience as a full function project manager overseeing medium /large scale projects. Kronos Advanced Scheduler V 6.1 expertise with multiple interfaces inbound and outbound highly desirable. Full systems development life cycle, project management experience, and implementation experience. Microsoft Project, and full suite of Microsoft office tools experience. Online real -time systems analysis and design. Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to work effectively with individuals from all levels of the organization. Accountable for implementation of Kronos Advanced Scheduler at Yale New Haven Health Hospital Delivery networks. Manages the project timelines, task assignments to the Project Team members, monitors progress and results. Reports project status to management. Plans complex work/design/build/education/go live activity for self and other team members; high degree of resourcefulness and application knowledge. Coordinate activities across the Health System Delivery network teams. Travel to all Delivery network locations; Yale- New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital and Greenwich Hospital .
