Specific Job Description
The NISC program has an exciting opportunity in the Sharepoint discipline to support the FAA in managing its shared project and informational Knowledge Services Network (KSN) sites. This position will be self-directed and will require significant communication with various stakeholders in a dynamic FAA engineering group that has numerous projects in various stages of implementation. The candidate will support KSN site functionality. KSN sites are based on Microsoft Sharepoint Technologies, and the Contractor will utilize Sharepoint as a tool to:

-customize and manage KSN site content
-modify web parts
-develop and customize InfoPath forms
-manage site permissions
-develop and manage custom workflows to better automate document management
-provide expertise and suggestions to increase the overall functionality of the site.

The candidate will also create various reports on data contained within the KSN sites, and will work closely with project managers, group managers, and individual engineers to create a powerful tool that will help the FAA manage its work. The candidate will be a technical expert in this area and will function as a point of contact for information and actions related to these shared KSN sites, and will assist users in the use of the KSN tool and provide technical guidance to any questions.
