Main remit of this role will include but are not limited to :
Summary
Responsible for day to day management of critical business contracts and accounts.
Daily contact point for customer; reporting and coordinating daily business with the customer.
Maintaining & looking for opportunities to develop further the business relationships CA has with existing customers
Coordinate with other Caledonian departments including accounts and technical teams to ensure delivery of service commitments and promises to customers.
Self manage and work as a part of the commercial team. Support is available from senior managers and directors for complex pitches and strategies
The Key Account Manager is expected to spend time out of the office in meetings & in-front of their customers. Travel is a significant factor and is predicted to be predominately within the US from time to time the UK.
Maintaining Existing Accounts (80% of job time):
Respond effectively to requests from customer for information and quotes in a timely manner
Ensure that CA remains proactive and responsive to clients
Member of Team Forecasting, Planning and Strategizing Future Business Development (20% of job time):
Assisting with the implementation of Caledonian’s global Purchasing and Marketing strategy.
Operating as a proactive member of the Caledonian Alloys commercial team, influencing the strategic direction of the business with academic and practical knowledge of the commodity markets and international trading arenas.
Manage the costs associated with an account and be at the forefront of customer interactions; understanding the impact on P&L accounts.

Person Spec Required:
Confidence to present and be the face of Caledonian Alloys to the customer.
An undergraduate degree or at least 5 years account management experience is essential.
Ability to grow and nurture existing business
Ability to manage and maintain accurate and accessible tailed documentation i.e. Presentations/proposals to meet clients needs
Ability to co-ordinate the pitch process by effectively providing the relevant teams with a summary of clients needs
