Through the use of SAP, research and maintain daily communication of inventory transfers based upon the pre-determined kit sequence
  • Using SAP to identify and order kits for production based on pre-determined kit sequence
  • Print daily kit pick lists for material handlers to pull and stage
  • Train new and current warehouse employees on SAP transactions
  • Using multiple SAP transactions, research and root cause missing kit components
  • Communicate with tugger operators to ensure line delivery based on Takt time for each assembly area
  • Track kit shortages in SAP and determine kit status in order to deliver part shortages to proper area
  • Evaluate inventory accuracy issues and work with Cycle Count Auditors to resolve and develop correct actions to eliminate these issues
  • Monitor system picks in SAP and re-align material to the proper production orders when non-conforming material or data errors are identified
  • Coordinate delivery of parts to rework/reconfigure machines in assembly and reconfiguration areas
  • Monitor daily kits picking and delivery plan and to ensure the daily production takt times are met
  • Proactively communicate to Warehouse Supervisor about any manpower or equipment concerns regarding ability to meet daily and weekly kit requirements
  • Communicate with internal and third party warehouses, as well as security on critical deliveries
  • Backfill for absent warehouse employees which are responsible for kitting. As necessary
  • Communicate to the off shift for direction of kits needed to be stage or delivered to the line
  • Give suggestion of area of improvement to best facilitate effective kit picking, staging, and delivery
  • Investigate and communicate SAP system data issues to the appropriate person
  • Communicate with production line supervisor in the event of a line re-sequence
  • Identify & suggest process & systems improvements to the appropriate people
  • Ability to use Volvo Production System (VPS) tools such as 5s, Kaizen, Quick Response Problem Solving (QRPS), and Standardized Work while adhering to Volvo’s Core Values

  • Qualifications:
    • 2-5 manufacturing warehouse experience
    • Knowledge of computer systems (SAP, Microsoft Office, etc)
    • Good communication skills, ability to interact effectively with other departments
    • Must be able to demonstrate operational excellence through attitude and actions
