We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to lead the culinary team at the Domain Hotel. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary and kitchen experience and proven ability to lead and inspire the team. We are looking for candidates who will match the Domain style --, be an "out of the box" thinker, exhibit great leadership skills, and have a passion for Joie de Vivre's creative and entrepreneurial culture.

The 136 guestrooms are decorated in two styles, Awakening and Tranquility, which enable our guests to enhance their stay with individual preference and mood.

WHO WILL LOVE THIS POSITION?

Someone who can work quickly and efficiently under pressure
Essential:
1-2 years previous Sous Chef or kitchen supervisory experience.
Ability to work all stations in kitchen.
Previous banquet and/or catering experience.
Proven ability to supervise performance of kitchen staff; prioritize, organize and delegate work assignments.
Proven experience managing inventory and all food safety guidelines.
Proficiency with Windows based Word & Excel Programs.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
Food handling certificate.
Desirable:
Culinary arts degree from accredited school or program preferred Pastry experience a plus
Previous union experience
Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish.
Sanitation certificate.
Previous culinary experience in a hotel environment.
