The US Fuel Value Chain (FVC) Learning & Development (L&D) function gathers key business requirements, represents the US FVC businesses on L&D items, supports efficient and effective learning operations and defines best practices to meet goals across the organization.
The Knowledge Management Specialist will be part of the US FVC L&D central organization and will report to the Learning Operations Manager. This newly created position will have the opportunity to provide input into the Knowledge Management (KM) strategy and to develop the necessary tools and process to facilitate this strategy. This strategy will include items such as vendor information and tracking, L&D policies and practices administration, process development, increased knowledge sharing within US FVC L&D. As the tools and process are developed, this position will take accountability for the administration and maintenance of these tools (Ex. SharePoint).
The Knowledge Management Specialist must be able to demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing situations and competing requests, while maintaining a focus the overall strategy.
In addition, as a member of the Learning Operations team this individual will take on additional tasks and projects as directed
Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for US FVC team SharePoint site
Develop and implement InfoPath forms to facilitate business processes
Develop and maintain a collaboration SharePoint portal
Work with the L&D team to develop, document and maintain processes
Maintain versioning and document control policy to assure the US FVC L&D practice and process documents are consistent and up to date
Maintain L&D vendor information database and metrics related to those vendors
Promote and facilitate L&D user groups and communities
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
Essential experience and job requirements
Minimum 2-3 years Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and/or 2010 experience
Strong development experience in Microsoft SharePoint & InfoPath
Process development experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Visio or process development software
Working knowledge of information management (data, standards and reporting)
Knowledge of learning technologies and current trends
Proactive self-starter with ability to manage independently and in team environment
Demonstrated ability to show attention to detail
Evidence of good communication skills; experience in developing messages as appropriate to different audiences
