Senior Associate

Role-specific Responsibilities:
·
Leadership role on our work relating to Kroger’s price and promotions team
·
Develop relationships with key work stream sponsors (Price and Sales planning -- Manager to VP level) within Kroger and lead them along the journey by providing compelling direction and evidence as it becomes available
·
Play a key role in championing customer centricity across the wider Kroger merchandising teams
·
Own responsibility for project direction and timelines for the Promotion work stream; this will include day to day ongoing deliverables and involvement in longer term, more strategic projects. Examples of potential projects include:
·
Understand Kroger’s promotion tactics and identifying areas of opportunity for potential investment
·
Measuring results of promotion investments to understand the impact on customer behavior
·
Implementing and measuring results of PriceStrat on the sales planning process
·
Help guide Relevant Promotions global efforts for the Kroger market and determine the optimal integration approach
·
Work in partnership with the dunnhumby Kroger analytical team to develop, recommend and implement approaches to customer centric promotions
·
Ensure the timely delivery of measurement of our efforts in such a way that they demonstrate clear value back to the wider business
·
Help to ensure that we balance our long term strategic input with sharing short term insights and value-creation opportunities
General Responsibilities:
·
Lead our clients by ensuring the customer is at the center of their thinking and actions.
·
Deliver ongoing support to the merchandising team at Kroger ensuring strong client satisfaction.
·
Partner with the analysis team, and other colleagues, in distilling and delivering customer insights to our clients.
·
Develop and maintain subject matter expertise for your area of client management responsibility (i.e. insight interpretation, general business analysis, tactical and strategic recommendations, etc.).
·
Translate client issues into opportunities for dunnhumby to develop new products and services.
·
Ensure your work is disciplined and that you adhere to our quality control procedures.
·
Share best practices with your colleagues.
·
Write or assist in the writing of client project briefs.
·
Formally present your material and our analysis work to clients.
·
Working understanding of analysis techniques and methodologies.
Experience and Skills:
·
Minimum of a Bachelors degree. While we don’t require a specific degree, typical successful candidates have a degree in Marketing, Economics, Management, Finance, English, Communications or Geography.
·
A Masters degree is preferred, but not required.
·
Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
·
Adept public speaker.
·
Having worked either internally or externally with the merchandising/commercial/buying functions of a major retailer is highly desirable.
·
5+ years of similar and relevant work experience is highly desirable.
