The LIS Applications Analyst is responsible for supporting Laboratory systems. Aids in the implementation of and updating of new and existing systems, in accordance with established departmental standards, policies and procedures. Help in support of LIS applications and provide inter-department assistance in the use of application software and interfaces. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department. Thorough knowledge of all LIS software applications, LIS systems and system emulation packages. Thorough knowledge of HIS functionality, related to laboratory required functions.
Bachelor of Science degree Medical Technology or related field required. Registry eligible or registered as a Medical Technologist the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, National Certifying Agency or equivalent required. MT-ASCP or equivalent required. Two to four years experience as a Medical Technologist required. Previous experience in project management with computers and interfaces preferred. Must possess leadership ability to give guidance and direction to laboratory staff with respect to LIS and other computer applications.
