The Laboratory Technician within Microbiology, evaluates clinical specimens using automated and manual methods in order to generate results accurately, precisely, and promptly. The Laboratory Technician performs quality control and instrument maintenance according to schedule. The Technician identifies and communicates abnormal results or problems with procedures to the Laboratory Supervisor.
- 2 years of formal education beyond HS or Associates degree

- Current Florida licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician in all five areas.
- Current Florida licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in Microbiology required for positions in Microbiology at DNH Laboratory.
