Baylor Medical Center at Uptown is currently seeking Laboratory Technician for Part-time and PRN opportunities. The Laboratory Technician provides administrative, technical, educational, support to ensure efficient and accurate point of care testing for all areas, including the coordination and communication with reference labs. Transfusion services (Blood bank). Performing pre-operative and inpatient testing, tracking of pathology reports, performing control tests on equipment, and reporting performance improvement studies to the patient care committee are some of the daily responsibilities.

Position qualifications and requirements for Laboratory Technicians include:
  • Preferred 3 years experience as a Laboratory Technician in an accredited laboratory.
  • Experience with Point of Care Testing.
  • Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies: (ASCP), (AMT), (NCA) or equivalent.
