Description of duties: Performs work as an assistant to attorneys representing indigent criminal defendants by providing support, legal research and writing, client interviews and other duties as required. Selection Method : Qualifying: All candidates who apply and meet the minimum requirements are eligible for placement on the register for hiring consideration. Group : LAW Characteristics of the Class : Performs work as an assistant to attorneys; and performs other duties as required. Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements : Duties are primarily performed in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required. Additional Requirements : Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.
