Leads QA testing activities for major projects impacting provisioning applications and evaluate operational risk before releasing the application into the production environment.
Provides technical direction and support to test resources located on shore and off.
Ensures test cases are complete in Quality Center by team members, completion of documentation, coordinates test environments, interface, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
Analyzes Business and IT requirements for new initiatives and works closely with the QA Manager to provide input for level of effort to test and resource requirements.
Communicates effectively with all groups involved in a product development & release.
Responsible for planning, executing, communicating, and documenting the project test activities.
Tests newly developed as well as enhancements and bug fixes for applications supported by the team.
Produces and distributes risk assessment reports for Release Management, and reports all related issues to appropriate managers and clients.
Documents all Plans, Test approach, Test Procedures, Test Summaries and reviews Entrance Criteria before code deliveries. Job Requirements
Experience with testing practices, principles and environments.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience. Experience with large project implementation and delivery.
Experience testing newly developed as well as enhancements and bug fixes.
Strong technical leadership abilities and experience leading teams in planning, development and execution of System, Integration and Regression testing.
Ability to work well with development staff, analyst and project managers to insure delivery milestones are met and ensure adequate testing of the software development projects.
Ability to learn quickly and come up with creative solutions when issues arise.
Experience in training and/or mentoring.
Knowledge/Experience with Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP, UNIX Operating Systems. Knowledge/Experience with test tools such as Quality Center, Quick Test Pro, Caliber Knowledge/Experience with Oracle and SQL.
Knowledge/Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, Netscape.
Knowledge/Experience working on Telecom applications, Telecom Products and related provisioning applications.
Knowledge/Experience with process management and configuration management software
