Serve as a central member of the Boston University Office of Development & Alumni Relations, reporting to the Associate Director, Leadership Gifts. Advance a wide range of fund-raising activities, programs and priorities in support of the $1 billion Campaign for Boston University. Build effective, successful relationships and pursue major gifts for endowed chairs and scholarships. Identify and cultivate prospects, develop solicitation strategies and coordinate the involvement of other administrators, faculty, alumni and volunteers.

Required Skills

Requires: B.A./B.S., Masters degree preferred, excellent written and verbal business communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, teamwork and demonstrated ability to build relationships in a highly collaborative environment, the ability to work directly with University leaders and collaborate with colleagues both within the department and across campus, the capacity to think strategically and creatively, willingness to work in a challenging environment and meet short deadlines, and three to five years of experience, preferably in a development office or academic fundraising environment, developing a portfolio of prospects and soliciting gifts.
