Interface is searching for a Process Engineer III (Lean Black Belt) for the LaGrange, GA facility. The Process Engineer III will identify improvement opportunities that align with strategic objectives and lead multi-disciplined teams improving existing processes, reducing costs and will assist in the implementation of new manufacturing processes. Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies utilizing the DMAIC process, DOE, FMEA, Process Mapping etc… will be critical tools to utilize in this process. He/She will assist in training and mentoring other leaders and Green Belts in the use of Lean and Six Sigma tools.

QUALIFICATION:

Candidates must have: BS in Engineering (in lieu of Engineering degree will accept a college degree and ten years of Process Improvement experience) Five years Process Engineering experience Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Lean Certification Demonstrated working knowledge of six sigma and lean tools and techniques (DMAIC, DOE, FMEA, SPC, Process Mapping, Design for flow, 6S, etc…) Experience identifying strategic projects to drive breakthrough performance Experience educating, training, coaching and mentoring Six Sigma Green Belts and others on Lean Six Sigma philosophy and application Experience leading cross functional problem solving teams with demonstrated success Professional attitude and work ethic Self starter with a desire to achieve results Experience working with customers, sales and marketing to understand performance and end use requirements, determining critical process characteristics, variables and measurement systems that determine and measure conformance to requirements (experience with QFD) Experience with Statistical Software such as Minitab or SPC for Excel, flowcharting and process mapping software and the ability to train others in their use Proven team leadership skills and strong ability to influence others at all levels of the organization Strong Project management skills Strong presentation skills Knowledgeable of process engineering, manufacturing engineering, assembly and installation techniques and material properties Ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data Strong analytical and quantitative skills Demonstrated commitment to process improvement Demonstrated persistence to achieve objectives Demonstrate disciplined methodology when problem solving Capable of process documentation such as manufacturing routings, job instructions, project costing, bid package preparation and execution Excellent communication skills, verbal and written from floor level through the management level Strong computer literacy
