The Leave Administrator works under immediate supervision and administers, processes, and maintains the company’s leaves of absence (LOA) in coordination with company provided benefits, short- and long-term disability (STD and LTD), Workers’ Compensation, and Federal and State leave rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities: (including the following, other duties may be assigned)
The temporary Leave Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day administration of employee leaves, such as:
·Meeting with employees to explain the company-provided and state benefits, as well as federal and state leave rules and regulations
·Maintain proper documentation for federal, state, and company leave multi-state programs
·Ensures proper and timely communication with employees and payroll
·Ensures accurate, timely, and professional legal recordkeeping and documentation
·Provides reporting and analysis support, including periodic reports, reconciliation of company pay, state pay and/or insurance company pay, quality assurance auditing
·Contacting the CA State EDD and the company’s insurance carrier on behalf of the employee to check on the status of claims
·Advanced PC skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
·Must be professional, organized, diplomatic, process-oriented, and provide patient customer service
·Strong commitment to producing quality work and attention to detail to ensure work is delivered completely, accurately, and on time
·Proven ability to provide and work with confidential information, always maintaining discretion and a high level of professionalism
·Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work with interruptions and focus under pressure and deadlines
·Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal personnel and/or external contacts
·Possess strong communication skills and have the ability to interact professionally with all levels of internal and external employees in written and verbal communications
·Excellent time management skills and ability to flourish in a challenging, fast-paced professional environment is essential
·Attention to detail is essential
·Qualified candidates will have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
·Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
