Direct, manage, supervise and participate in the work of staff responsible for providing a wide variety of services to the library patrons within one or more branch library facilities including the planning and directing of support services; supervise the activities and operations of those engaged in maintaining the collection and distribution; recommend the purchase of reference materials and coordinate exhibits and displays; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions and outside agencies and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Assistant Library Director.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree with major course work in library or information science from an American Library Association (ALA) certified institution, plus three (3) years of professional/managerial experience in an academic, public, school or special library to include two (2) years of direct supervisory experience in a management and/or administrative capacity. Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License.

Select, supervise, train and evaluate staff
Interpret, explain and enforce City policies pertaining to library operation and function
Communicate clearly and concisely
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
