Job Purpose: Responsible for departmental aspects of laboratory information systems to include testing of hardware and software, maintenance of systems, maintenance of dictionaries and rules library, training of new employees, setting up new programs and coordinating LIS functions within the laboratory. Assures compliance with all regulatory agencies for assigned area.
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Information Technology or Information Management
Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), MLT(ASCP) or equivalent
Related Work Experience and Other Skills
High level of energy and motivation
Work Experience: 5 years of clinical experience. Previous LIS experience with proven competency.
Adhere to accreditation and regulatory requirements (LIS)
