Provides comprehensive mental health services within mental health division, case management and other related support services to eligible foster care, adoptive and other children and their families. Responsible for meeting weekly productivity expectations and maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records of all services rendered in accordance with state and county regulations. Will be responsible for carrying an active caseload.
Master's degree required in Clinical Psychology or related field. Licensed LCSW or MFT or Registered ACSW or MFT Intern, one year or more previous experience with children and families requiring diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning and crisis intervention, as well as providing the various modalities of therapy, strong communication skills including: Exceptionally strong writing skills are required. Must be able to document in a clear and concise manner and in accordance with DMH and other program standards. Strong commitment to children and families, and a willingness to take the steps necessary to assure their well-being, knowledge of the L.A. County Department of Mental Health system is a huge plus, ability to work within administrative and process parameters as required, willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment, must be willing to work in homes, schools, and other non-traditional, community oriented environments. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
