We are currently seeking a LOA Specialist to assist in the management of the Company’s Leave of Absence program. Coordinates leaves of absence and return to work activities in conjunction with our outsourced vendor and in partnership with local management. Performs disability pay calculations and all necessary adjustments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
In partnership with our outsourced vendor, verify eligibility information according to the Company’s established policies and applicable state and federal regulations. Assist team members in establishing and supporting appropriate claim activity. Act as liaison between outsourced vendor, local management, and internal Human Resources personnel.
Perform all bi-weekly and weekly LOA pay calculations, and coordinate payment and adjustments under these benefit programs with the Company’s Payroll department.
Perform entries related to inactivation/reactivation of team member records in the HRIS and E-Time systems. Ensure payment of accruals during applicable elimination periods.
Ensure exceptional customer experience by responding timely and accurately to questions, resolving issues, and escalating, as appropriate for team members, managers, Human Resources and vendor providers.
Creates and maintains leave of absence files, paper and system records to ensure accurate and timely information/documentation. Generates data, manipulates and provides metrics from applicable systems, as needed.
Attends monthly service calls with LOA Program Manager and vendor to review current LOA practices, and ensure compliance with stated service level agreements.
Assists in developing and monitoring best practices relating to leave administration based upon procedures and policy provisions; and Federal and State legal requirements. Ensures uniformity and consistency among all locations.
Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating a thorough understanding of leave of absence policy and procedures.
Three or more years of Human Resources experience in a benefits or leave administration capacity, demonstrating sound knowledge of leave administration policies and procedures.
Demonstrates the ability to communication between provider vendors, other team members or departments, and HRIS System.
Demonstrates familiarity of the design and functional specification of requirements, development of test plans and processes, testing, creation of documentation, and implementation of solutions.
Demonstrates the ability to extract data, manipulate and develop reports and metrics from the vendor provider and HRIS systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of ADP Systems a plus.
Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
