Will deliver nursing care to
children/adolescents/adults or geriatric
to the Standards of Nursing Practice and Care.
Will serve as an active member of the Treatment
Team; must possess ability to maintain therapeutic relationship with
patients both in acute crisis and in long term treatment; knowledge
of developmental stages of children in the social, cultural, and
environmental influences on both patient and family members;
knowledge of family dynamics adaptive coping skills; document events
during emergency to include follow up/resolution; observes behaviors;
processes with staff and evaluates incidents (i.e. AWOL, seclusion,
restraint); facilitates communication and problem solving between the
patient and family during interactions on the unit; responds to
interventions; documents medications; serves as a resource in
assisting children/adults/adolescents and families in understanding
medications and treatment, side effects, and long-term benefits; etc.
LPN in the State of Indiana; 1 year of nursing
experience preferably psychiatric nursing.
