Skills & Competencies
Utilize the plan of care to provide nursing care to patients and families as assigned by, and in conjunction with the Registered Nurse (RN). Obtain and communicate patient data for inclusion in the overall and ongoing patient assessment. Assist with development of the plan of care and actively participate in patient care conferences. Provide direct patient care to patients in accordance with current standards of practice and hospital and nursing policies, procedures and standards. Assist in planning for discharge of patient; participate in patient and family teaching.
Document results of care given and contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness of care.
Work collaboratively and interdisciplinary with health Team Members.
Effective oral written and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of Pediatric growth and development. Professional knowledge and technical ability sufficient to perform duties required of an LPN. Demonstrates interest and enthusiasm.
Current license to practice in the State of Ohio.
6 months of LPN experience required
home care experience preferred
vent/trach experience preferred
