Responsible for the care of patients from check in to check out to include vital signs, updating the patient's electronic medical record, procedure assistance, medication administration, phlebotomy, diagnostic testing and discharge prescriptions. This position does require independent assessment skills, sensitivity to patient needs and the ability to work and make decisions based on education and experience in this field. This position will consult the physician or clinical nurse supervisor on an as needed basis for patient care problems that this position is not qualified to handle independently.
Requires current Georgia LPN license, CPR certification and a minimum of 2 years experience in a medical office practice and/or clinic practice related to Nephrology/Dialysis (Cardiology or Diabetes specialties considered). Must have at least 6 months experience in phlebotomy. Candidate must possess caring, compassionate qualities with good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Selection of the final candidate is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
