Licensed Practical Nurse
SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Department Team Leader and/or Department Manager, and the direct clinical supervision of a registered nurse, ARNP, licensed physician, dentist use the nursing process to provide basic nursing care that includes assisting the registered nurse or provider in the provision of patient care, performing routine office procedures, administering medications, and performing nursing duties that promote optimum patient care and satisfaction while enhancing provider and department effectiveness. Is knowledgeable of and performs within the scope of practice as delineated by the NH Board of Nursing. May be required to participate in evening, weekend and holiday coverage according to the needs of the department.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Current New Hampshire license for Practical Nursing and BCLS certification required. One or more years of experience in office or outpatient ambulatory care setting strongly preferred. Strong customer service, communication, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team and respond calmly and effectively in a fast paced environment and during a crisis and/or emergency. Experience utilizing computer equipment (e.g. keyboard, mouse) and basic applications (e.g. email) necessary; previous experience with electronic medical records preferred. Verbal and written proficiency in the English language.
