To provide quality nursing services to meet the total need of the developmentally disabled individuals that reside at Caswell Developmental Center. Must be able to complete thorough assessments and assist with maintaining optimal health of each individuals residing in the assigned home. Must be able to administer medications/treatments to relieve suffering and facilitate recovery with minimal disruption of the individual's habilitation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
Applicant should have knowledge of the principles of health care and the techniques and applications of the licensed practical nurse. They must possess the ability to successfully complete DHHS medication administration exam. They must also possess the ability to be certified in CPR*/First Aid and North Carolina Interventions. The applicant should have the skills to complete a comprehensive assessment of signs or symptoms of illness/injury. The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships to support communication and teamwork is essential. The applicant must have a valid drivers license.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
