Stonington Institute began serving recovering
alcoholics in 1957 as Starlight Farms, a working farm where adults in
recovery were introduced to the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Today, we are the longest continually operating, free-standing,
voluntary treatment facility in New England. Our main campus is
located in North Stonington, CT, in its original private and peaceful
rural setting. We have additional clinical sites in Groton, CT.
Transportation and off-campus housing assistance make our programs
and services accessible to a statewide clientele. Those programs
include: medical detoxification, rehabilitation/residential
treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment
(both day and evening) and ambulatory detoxification, as well as
residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military
servicemembers. The Institute accepts private insurance, state-funded
plans and self pay arrangements.
The LPN will be responsible for health screening,
medication reconciliation, assisting the RN with nursing tasks such
as admissions, discharges, precerts, med passes.
Full- or part-time hours available, first and
second shift. May include weekends.
Connecticut LPN license required. Experience
working in mental health, psychiatric or substance abuse field
