Bronson Methodist Hospital has an immediate opening for a Lab Education Coordinator in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The Laboratory Education Coordinator position is responsible for identifying training needs, designing and conducting training to meet those needs, and evaluating the effectiveness of the training for Bronson system. Activities include providing training courses, workshops, webinars, and on-linetraining on a variety of laboratory subjects to both internal and external staff. The coordinator plans and executes all education-related events and projects to meet CAP regulations and ensure continuing education opportunities and staff competency. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter who desires to share creative ideas and best practices. Must have demonstrated skills and experience developing educational content, giving presentations, facilitating groups and coaching individuals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory. Outstanding interpersonal skills required including the abililty to interact with a diverse range of students, faculty and staff.
BS degree in medical technology, biological/microbiological science, chemistry or related field with minimum of 2 years experience conducting scientific analyses supplemental with experience in laboratory training.
NAACLS accredited Medical Laboraory Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification is required.Background in education, training, presentations and curricular design is strongly preferred. Teaching experience is desirable. High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience in Sharepoint also beneficial.
