Responsible for: Laboratory supervisor and technicians
Working hours: must be willing to work adjustable shifts, some weekends will be required and holidays may be required if necessary.
Some travel may be required for special events and training.
. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This includes the following, and other duties may be assigned:
Strong skill on statistical data analysis (variance analysis, Student Fisher test, Chitest)
Strong skill on equipment troubleshooting (Infrared, standard laboratory equipment)
Attention to detail and accuracy in work
Strong ability to communicate (written and verbal)
Ability to train technicians on laboratory methods, ability to implement new methods , new equipment
Personal qualities of tact, dependability and ability to work well with others.
Strong computer software (excel and word ) skills
Proactive and dynamic; capable of working independently; and take action if there is deviation in results.
Capable of managing stress and remaining calm under pressure
Demonstrate sense of responsibility, objectivity and ability to oversee all of the laboratory activities Qualifications
5 years minimum as lab manager in a food process plant. Dairy preferred.
Minimum Bachelor degree in chemistry/ microbiology or food science
