Under general supervision of the Principal Investigator, directs activities of Lipoprotein Analysis Laboratory for scientific research program studying lipoprotein metabolism, genetics and coronary disease risk. Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in performing a range of specified research and clinical laboratory tests related to lipoprotein metabolism in human subjects. Responsible for maintaining quality assurance in all aspects of laboratory operations. Maintains laboratory facilities and equipment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in biological science.
Experience: More than 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be able to work closely with other scientists within the laboratory organization to carry out research protocols, and present research and analysis results at group meetings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required as well as strong interpersonal collaboration skills.
