Title: Lab Test Technician

Location: Redmond, WA

Duration: Long-Term Contract

>PCBA Troubleshooting & Debug

• Debug structural and basic electrical failures to the component level. Use electronic instruments such as an oscilloscope and logic analyzers to isolate an anomalous signal line or faulty component.

• Test components manually, by following a provided procedure.

• Functional board bring up, execute lab bring up tasks and electrical checks such as testing and characterizing a high speed bus; and generate a written report to record work.

• Manage state of system-level units-under-test in the Product Engineering lab: report status of tests, identify failed units, etc.

>Hardware Configuration Management

• Maintain accurate inventory of test assets including the revision and sub-component revisions (i.e. firmware / kernel)

• Maintain check in / check out process and ensure compliance

• Manage spare parts

• Perform Flash and Firmware upgrades

• 3+ years Electronic Technician background, preferably in consumer products and an electronic product development lab environment

• Organized with inventory control experience

• Good working knowledge of Electrical Systems, Analog and Digital electronic circuitry

• Surface-Mount soldering skills a must, down to 0402 size parts, to enable rework and replacement of circuit board components

• Strong Analytical Troubleshooting and Debug Skills

• Good PC and Office productivity skills

Education: Associate or BS in Electronic Technology, or equivalent.

People Skills:
• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated and responsive in a fast-paced Engineering environment

• Detail Oriented
