Manage team of labeling/nutrition specialists,
Reporting of project status
Keeping abreast of USDA labeling regulations, directions and how they impact PPC/JBS.
Perform comparative analysis on all supporting documentation (specs, BOM’s, ingredient docs, allergen statements, nutrition profiles, customers specs/graphics) to ensure adherence to USDA and company standards.
Prepare/review documentation required by USDA and other governmental and certification agencies.
Work with outside vendors: labels suppliers, label printers, USDA Consultants, ingredient suppliers, co-manufacturers; label software suppliers.
Ensures the accuracy and consistency of the knowledge warehouse in terms of specifications, USDA label transmittals/approvals, ingredient declarations.
Populate all necessary information needed for MRTA workflow in a timely manner.

USDA transmittal/approval folders
label design/format folders
Ability to work with plant personnel, suppliers, sales & marketing to keep up to date on all product changes that would affect nutritional profiles, ingredients and approved labels.
Team player willing and able to meet all departmental and company goals and objectives.
Ability to fill in for other Technical Services staff in their absence.
Associate’s Degree: Food Science or related technical field
Minimum 4 yrs experience in labeling and nutrition facts panels
Computer Skills: extensive knowledge of SAP, Genesis
