Participates in the labor and associate relation functions by assisting in the designing, planning, and implementation of programs, policies and procedures which comply with organization strategic objectives/plan and are within legal parameters and the provisions of various union collective agreements.
Acts as a representative for management in the union-management relationship, establishing and maintaining an effective labor-management relationship. Participates in employee meetings, processing and conducting grievance meetings, preparation for periodic arbitration and negotiations.
Associates Degree required in the areas of Business, Human Resources, Healthcare management or a related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage a variety of working relationships with hospital leaders, staff and union representatives. Specialized
training or education in the area of labor and employment law is desireable. 1-2 years of experience working in a unionized environment with multiple bargaining units. A combination of education/experience may be acceptable. Strong computer skills and excellent organizational skills are needed to produce results in a high volume, face paced work environment.
